Orchids Autdentic tdai Food in Lake Tahoe (California)

All our dishes were excellent. One of the best Thai restaurants we've been too. Priced average. But worth it.Service was nice, but there is a language barrier :)We would definitely come back or get take out. Excellent green curry and pad see yew noodles.

Chicken cashew nut , grounds pork basil and Thai fried chicken wings is very good test. Delicious food Like original food from Thailand. Very good service, clean place, beautiful decoration with spicy level of food from level 1 to 5 for those who never eat spicy Thai food. Recommended only level 2 is enough if you want to taste like the original from Thailand. You can choose level 5. It will match your reservation requirements.

The place has changed for the better with new ownership. Food remains authentic Thai cooking; not too sweet or too salty; not watered down. Service is excellent even when very busy. The place will definitely remain a place for us to enjoy food when we visit Tahoe. Sawaadee!

So yummy!!! Our waiter was super friendly, food was fresh with really big portions. The red curry was really creamy and flavorful. Pictured is the Tom Yum soup and dumplings. This is our favorite Thai place in town!!

Quick, fast and taste excellent.

This is the best Thai food I have found in Reno/Carson/Tahoe area. The dishes are authentic, always fresh ingredients, staff is always beyond friendly. I have brought family members from the Seattle area, and they have commented that certain dishes are the best they have had at a Thai restaurant. I would go here weekly if I lived closer!!

Delicious Thai food & friendly service. Worth the stop

This place was tasty, but I had to order take out in person as they weren't answering their phone. It was a busy Saturday night and they were VERY busy when I arrived. Had to wait an hour for my order and I wasn't the only one. If you can get in before the rush, this place is well worth it

I have been Thailand for couple times, I do not think this is authentic Thai food.Staff is friendly but their service is not great. I ordered stick mango rice, waited for half hour to get. Mango is unriped and it’s bitter. Rick is too sweet.

Unremarkable Thai restaurant. The food is ok, it is important to consider that it would be hard to find great Thai as far away as Lake Tahoe. The staff is always rushed in our three visits, but friendly. Try the red seafood curry, and the pan fried flat noodles with vegetables and tofu. If you are missing soup, the Tom Kha is ok.

Haven't eaten here in at least a decade. Met a former athlete of mine and spent 2 hours catching up. Food was incredible. I had Sweet and sour chicken. And took home a cream cheese roll that must have had a block of cream cheese in each one came with 2. Lunch was really affordable. Will definitely go back. I have severe food sensitivity and didn't have any issues at all.

Food was excellent!! Service was good. It was odd that I had 2 pork rolls with my vegetarian plate (mixed veggies with Tofu). I think it would be nice to ask customer if they want the pork rolls or offer veggie rolls instead. I hate to waste food.

Very friendly staff, solid very good food. Not too fancy, family friendly, very fresh ingredients. Seems like this place is perpetually busy, but you can almost always get a table with a minimal wait if any wait at all. There's a reason that this place shows up consistently in the awards for Thai food in South Lake.

Great food. If you are here on a long weekend - come early. They get full early and only offer take out after a particular time. Good service and food.

We absolutely love this place! 10/10We picked it over My Thai because it was a little cheaper for Tum Yum. It was amazing all around. Great service, good food, yummy dessert. It was so cute inside. Tum Yum was a little less spicy then expected but they can make it a 5 (we had a 1) on the Thai spice scale. The Sticky rice and mango was delicious. I couldn't say better things about this place.

Had crab ragoons, avocado rolls, and dumplings. Super good!

Quick service and great food. We had a great waiter that was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Portions were so larger it looked like we didn’t eat much.

Great food, service could be better. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt some anyone can have a bad day but I felt like our server would rather be anywhere else.The lunch menu is reasonably priced but doesn't come with as many "extras" at My Thai down the street.

Best Thai food ever!

Food was okay, not super delicious and all. Service lady was fine except for she forgot one of our dishes so we asked her not to bring it anymore as they already took almost 50 mins to bring the food. They never even apologized or anything. Overall, I say give it a try coz the customer service was okay and food is decent.

Good flavors and portion sizes, service was adequate, facility could use a refresh but current ambiance is fitting.

We want to recommend this authentic Thai restaurant. Why? Because we've tried so many Thai food before from Thailand and USA. Some are aweful, some delicious, and some with FAKE flavoring from MSG. That's why we recommend you to try Thai dishes with the delicious flavors without MSG made by Chef Wan & Chef Nuna. They definitely know how to preserve the recipe from Thai Culinary Professor and be very consistent in the authentic flavor. When you have a chance to go visit, you possibly will get to meet the manager, Mutty. So many choices on the menu and can't decide? Mutty is always helpful to provide the best experience at the restaurant! Hope you will enjoy like we always do everytime when we visit Lake Tahoe! 🌲🐻🐾

Great service and awesome food. Tom Yum soup was excellent. Fried rice and pad thai were top notch. Minus 1 star only for the basil duck, which was somewhat chewy and salty. Overall a great experience. Will definitely go again.

It's not that the food is terrible, but this place literally closes whenever they feel like it without updating their hours, the service is INSANELY slow when they do decide to open, the servers gossip loudly through the open bamboo divider in the back. Not worth the price.

Food was absolutely amazing! The steamed dumplings with house sauce is a must have. Hands down best ive ever had. We had the red curry with beef and the yellow curry with chicken, i highly recommended both!

My dinner was great, and I have to say the Thai Iced Coffee was excellent. Staff was very friendly and made me feel at home, that's greatly appreciated. And the flowers on the table were fresh, a nice little touch.Thank you for a great dinner, I will definitely be back for some more of that coffee too.

Excellent food. I arrived about ten minutes prior to close and asked if I could still order takeout. They said it was okay, and were very friendly. They helped make our visit to Tahoe great!

Delicious thai food !!

Excellent food! All of the dishes we had were wonderful. We tried the chef special "avacado curry" and what a delight! Wonderful friendly staff. It is true that service is a bit slow, however the restaurant is under new ownership this month and they are hiring the much needed staff that everyone has been hoping for!

I love this restaurant! It's very cute and they have great service along with delicious fresh food! Best Thai food in Tahoe.
